Seminar: Augmented Realities (2019)
Future Driving
Ina Bandixen
With the development of augmented reality in smartphones, smart glasses and similar devices, it is only a question of time until augmented reality reaches us in our daily life. I would like to explore a visual language in navigation systems that can be used directly on the windshield of a car and recognises potential hazards, pedestrians, flow of traffic, points of interests, etc. on the street.
In this project I want to develop a design that can be used by an AR-based driver-assistance system. I will work on the displaying of relevant information (e.g. lane change assistance, navigation system) with driving safety in mind. The driver should not be distracted by useless information, the color design of the application, radio control or similar devices.
